Creating a CmUser Datasource
Before you can create users, Access Groups, and Privilege Groups (see Creating Users, Access Groups, and Privilege Groups), you must create a User Database, using the User Manager (CmUser Program). Follow the steps below:
Select Connect/Create Datasource… on the File menu. The Select Data Source dialog box is opened. (When you install the User Manager (CmUser program) for the first time, this dialog box is opened automatically because a CmUser database does not yet exist.)
Decide whether to create a file data source (see Creating a File Data Source) or a machine data source (see Creating a Machine Data Source).
A file data source contains the connection to the file database within a file. If the file database has the same name and is stored in the same location, the connection can be transferred from one PC to another. A machine data source can be used only on the PC on which it was established.
